About This
- Broad Compatibility: Compatible with BMW E82, E84, E87, E88๏ผE90, E91, E92, E93 M3 ,130i ,135i ,330i, 335i, N54, Used to remove factory bushings from above platforms. Also doubles as installation tool for OEM M3 bushings, delrin bushings, or solid aluminum bushings
- Heavy-Duty Construction: Our technicians upgraded this product, Washers are cut from high strength steel, Threaded rod is industrial quality B7 grade which is approx 2.5x stronger than a traditional hardware store threaded rod (120k tensile vs 50k tensile psi), for maximum durability under extreme force. A grade 8 lock nut is provided so you can keep the appropriate end from not turning
- Precision Engineering, Smooth Operation: Bronze oil impregnated sleeve & thrust bearings are installed on both sides of the main cup to aid in an effortless removal/ or installation. They also serve to protect the threaded rod from damage as it slides thru it. Flange nuts are provided to evenly distribute the forces on bronze thrust bearings and to help everything stay as parallel as possible during the process.
- Operations Tips: To remove the factory bushings you will have to drop the subframe but not fully remove it. You need enough access to the top of the bushings to put the washer plate on and thread the nut and locknut onto the threaded rod. For removal of the bushings at the rear of the subframe, you use the tool less the large tanged washer. For bushings in the front of the subframe you use the tanged washer to catch the narrow lip of the subframe holding the bushings. The rear bushings are overall easy.
- NOTE: If your car is a M3 the outer lip of both bushings will have to be bent up prior to removal to clear the tool. For some reason the "M" car bushing have a larger lip on the bushing. However, this is only an issue during removal and not effect installation, because your pulling from the opposite side so the lip is not a problem until it comes to removal
